Urban Rifleman isn’t your average carbine class, it’s a fight lab. Urban Rifleman is the best carbine class around. This course is built for civilians who understand that owning a rifle means being ready to use it when things get loud and up close. Knowing how to shoot isn’t enough. You need to know how to fight with your rifle — fast, violent, and with zero hesitation. 

We’re talking close-quarters, urban chaos: doorways, corners, hallways, and the kind of threats that don’t give you time to think. This class will push your speed, your accuracy, and your ability to move like a problem solver with a gun. If you carry a rifle for more than Instagram likes, Urban Rifleman is where you prove it.

GUNS & GEAR NEEDED

RIFLE

• A "fighting" rifle (semi auto magazine fed). AR or AK style rifle strongly preferred. AR/AK pistol OK.
• THE IDEAL RIFLE is an AR-15 with a 14.5" or 16" barrel and a red dot. Other setups are welcome. 
• Loaners available! (Please bring factory 55 gr brass cased .223 Rem or 5.56 mm ammo - NO GREEN TIP!)
• PCCs and 22 LR rifles are welcome. However, they are NOT recommended. They jam. A LOT. The ones that jam the most are the ones that "never have had issues before." 
• Your rifle needs to have a Sling. Patriot Training recommends a 2-point Vickers sling, a Magpul MS style sling, or similar.
• Iron sights, red dots, LPVO scopes all acceptable. 
• 5+ rifle magazines, minimum.
• 500 rounds, minimum, of rifle ammo - same brand / same type. 600+ rounds is ideal. (NO green tip or armor piercing)
• 5 Snap caps - ONLY IF YOU ARE NOT USING .223 / 5.56
  • IF you are bringing .300 blackout, bring snap caps. 
  • IF you are bringing 7.62x39, bring snap caps. 
  • IF you are bringing 5.45, bring snap caps. 
  • etc.
  • We provide loaner .223 snap caps. 

PISTOL

• "Fighting" Pistol
• Quality OWB (Outside the Waistband) holster made of leather or kydex - stays open for reholstering. No Serpa holsters.
• 2+ pistol magazines
• Sturdy Carry belt or "duty rig" belt. 
• 100 rounds of factory loaded brass cased pistol ammo

GEAR

• Range appropriate clothing
• Food & Water
• Notepad and Pen
• Sunscreen & bug spray
• Hand warmers in cold weather months

DO NOT  BRING TO CLASS:

• Green tip or armor piercing ammo - we will be shooting steel targets. 
• Steel cased ammo for pistols / AR-15s - you will hate yourself. Steel cased ammo OK for AK-47 and AK-74
• Hand loaded or remanufactured ammunition. Bring factory ammo only. 
• Mixed brands/types of ammo - bring a single brand and type
• Serpa Holsters. Nylon holsters.  
• Revolvers

STANDBY

Most Patriot Training classes sell out quickly. However, we frequently have participants who have schedule changes, and cannot make the class they bought for whatever reason. Therefore, we offer a "STANDBY" list. Of course, this does not guarantee you a spot. However, most classes get one or two reschedules - usually the last week right before class. 

IF this class sells out, email us and we will put you on standby for the class at no charge. Of course, if a spot opens up, then you will need to act quickly to buy that spot!
