Citizen Sniper is a precision rifle training course designed to help shooters build real-world precision capability beyond traditional flat-range shooting. Training is designed around measurable improvements in shooter capability, not instructor identity, tactical culture, or training tradition.

You will develop the ability to make accurate, repeatable hits from 100 to 500 yards by building stable shooting positions, reading wind conditions, and applying holdover solutions with confidence. Training is structured to help you develop practical shooting capability that transfers from the training environment to real-world defensive, competitive, and field shooting applications.

Training focuses on developing strong fundamentals and practical field shooting skills that help you perform more consistently under pressure and in unpredictable environmental conditions. Students are encouraged to measure their own performance progress over time and return for training as their skill level and capability continue to grow.

Citizen Sniper is a precision rifle training course designed to help you become a more capable, confident, and competent shooter through measurable performance-based training.

Our focus is simple: help you build real-world precision capability. Training is designed around your ability to perform under realistic conditions, not around instructor credentials or training tradition. You are not training to imitate elite shooters — you are training to develop elite performance capability through structured methodology, performance testing, and progressive skill development.

You will learn to apply precision shooting fundamentals through feedback-driven correction, performance validation training, and real-world precision testing. Our goal is for you to leave training knowing you are improving because you can measure it.

Training connects directly to civilian performance outcomes, including personal protection capability, hunting precision performance, competitive shooting crossover skill, and stress-conditioned decision making.

Training is conducted across variable environments using structured repetition, fundamentals reinforcement, and performance pressure application to build reliable field shooting capability.

Citizen Sniper is built around performance science principles designed to help you build capability, not just training experience.

Patriot Training recommends the use of an accurized semi-auto for this class. It will serve as a "Scoped Carbine B" class. (Our class, "Expert Rifleman" would be the "Scoped Carbine A" class.)

FAQ

• Prerequisites:      
  • Ability to safely handle your rifle at all times. 
  • Ability to load / unload / fix malfunctions on your rifle. We will not spend time on basic weapon manipulation, loading, unloading, etc.  
  • A basic civilian carbine or marksmanship course from a recognized source is highly recommended
  • NOTE: This is NOT a ‘teach someone how to shoot’ class. All students must be able to safely handle their equipment / firearms; to include loading / unloading, drawing / holstering safely to attend 
• Family Discounts when attending with immediate family. 
• CURRENT / FORMER MILITARY: This class is designed to complement military training with skills and contexts outside typical service doctrine. 
• CURRENT / FORMER LAW ENFORCEMENT: This class covers practical rifle application and judgment-based problem solving often omitted from traditional LE training.

GUNS & GEAR NEEDED

• RIFLE – A ZEROED Accurized Rifle.  AR15 or AR10 preferred - equipped with BIPOD and a sling (Patriot Training recommends a 2-point Vickers sling, Magpul MS style sling, or similar). Accurized Bolt gun also acceptable. 
  • Accurized = Heavy Barrel (or fluted barrel) + Free floated + Match grade trigger. 
  • Capable of 1.5 MOA
• OPTIC – 10x magnification or greater strongly suggested. 
  • Preferably MIL or MOA reticle  
  • Preferably external knobs for adjustments
  • BDC Reticles are NOT acceptable. (This is your friendly warning.) 
• AMMUNITION – 300 rounds MATCH GRADE ammunition, minimum.  
• Pistol & 2 mags
• 50 rounds pistol ammunition
• The Sig P320 is banned from all Patriot Training classes. 
• Quality OWB holster of kydex or stiff leather that will stay open for reholstering. No Serpa.
• "Write in the rain" notepad & pen or pencil.
• 2+ magazines - or be able to carry 25 rounds per drill. AR15 shooters - bring at least two (2) 20-round magazines!
• The Rucksack (backpack) as listed at the bottom of the page.
• Shemagh or small hand towel.
• Bipod 
• Rear shooting bag - Patriot Training recommends the Armageddon "Squishy Rear Bag"
• Shooting Bag strongly recommended, not Required. Patriot Training recommends the Armageddon "Schmedium Mid Size Game Changer Bag"

DO NOT BRING

• DO NOT bring an AK / SKS 
• DO NOT bring an AR Pistol / SBR 
• DO NOT bring a rifle with a red dot - even if you have a magnifier. 
• Green tip or armor piercing ammo - we will be shooting steel targets. 
• Steel cased ammo for AR-15s - you will hate yourself. 
• Hand loaded or remanufactured ammunition. Bring factory ammo only. 
• Mixed brands/types of ammo - bring a single brand and type
• SERPA holsters or any holster requiring the trigger finger to disengage retention are forbidden. 
• Nylon holsters forbidden. 
• The Sig P320 is forbidden at Patriot Training classes. 

STANDBY

Most Patriot Training classes sell out quickly. However, we frequently have participants who have schedule changes, and cannot make the class they bought for whatever reason. Therefore, we offer a "STANDBY" list. Of course, this does not guarantee you a spot. However, most classes get one or two reschedules - usually the last week right before class. 

IF this class sells out, email us and we will put you on standby for the class at no charge. Of course, if a spot opens up, then you will need to act quickly to buy that spot!

REFUND / RESCHEDULE / TRANSFER POLICY

REFUNDS

Patriot Training does NOT offer Refunds. 

* Tuition sale is final and is a commitment to train with Patriot Training at the date and time scheduled.

* Tuition paid guarantees your spot in class. Patriot Training does not overbook. 

* Your payment secures a spot in a specific class, and nothing more. Patriot Training cannot and does not guarantee individual performance or results. Therefore, failure to pass a course (such as a carry permit evaluation) does not qualify for a refund.  

* Patriot Training does not offer refunds, reschedules, or transfers to students who fail to show up for class. If you decide not to attend, that’s your decision. 

* This policy is firm and there will be no exceptions.

*  Due to safety concerns, all Sig P320 variants are banned from use in class.  No refunds will be issued based on this policy. 

Why? 

- Because if you decide the day before class that you don't like the weather forecast (or insert whatever excuse here), we will not have time to sell that spot to a serious participant that has been turned away. 

RESCHEDULE

Cannot make a class and need to reschedule to a future class? You may reschedule for the same class (i.e. Urban Rifleman for Urban Rifleman) in the future for a reasonable processing fee. You must reschedule no later than Thursday at 6:00 pm prior to the start of the class you cannot make. Naturally, there must be a future offering on the schedule, and once you select the date, that date will be locked in. Future reschedules will also require an additional processing fee. LIMITED TRANSFERS

Can't make the class and want to transfer (give/sell) your spot to someone else?

If you want to transfer, sell, or give your seat to someone else, that’s entirely up to you and is fine by us. 

You must notify us no later than Thursday, 6:00 pm, prior.  

If that person cannot make it, the same no refund policy applies.

In the unlikely event Patriot Training is forced to cancel a class, refunds and reschedules will be offered.
