This ain’t a pew-pew selfie session — it’s Citizen Sniper.  We’re talking precision dominance: 100 to 500 yards, real-world shooting positions, hard data, and harder truths. If you think slapping a scope on your rifle makes you a sniper, prepare to get humbled... fast. You’ll learn how to build a stable firing position on garbage terrain, read wind like it owes you rent, and send rounds with ruthless precision. You will become an advanced shooter by learning brilliance in the basics. 

Citizen Sniper isn’t about stacking tiny groups on paper for Instagram clout; it’s about learning to make cold, calculated hits when it actually matters. This course turns your precision rifle into a problem-solver, and you into the kind of shooter who doesn’t need a second chance. You’ll master long-range fundamentals, wind reading, data gathering, and fieldcraft that separates real shooters from ballistic LARPers. Whether it’s steel at 500 yards or a target in unknown terrain, we train like the shot counts — because in the real world, it always does. You’re not a benchwarmer. You’re a rifleman. Time to prove it. 

Patriot Training recommends the use of an accurized semi-auto for this class. It will serve as a "Scoped Carbine B" class.

STANDBY

Most Patriot Training classes sell out quickly. However, we frequently have participants who have schedule changes, and cannot make the class they bought for whatever reason. Therefore, we offer a "STANDBY" list. Of course, this does not guarantee you a spot. However, most classes get one or two reschedules - usually the last week right before class. 

IF this class sells out, email us and we will put you on standby for the class at no charge. Of course, if a spot opens up, then you will need to act quickly to buy that spot!

FAQ

• Prerequisites:      
  • Ability to safely handle your rifle at all times. 
  • Ability to load / unload / fix malfunctions on your rifle. We will not spend time on basic weapon manipulation, loading, unloading, etc.  
  • A basic civilian carbine or marksmanship course from a recognized source is highly recommended (not required)
  • NOTE: This is NOT a ‘teach someone how to shoot’ class. All students must be able to safely handle their equipment / firearms; to include loading / unloading, drawing / holstering safely to attend 
• Family Discounts when attending with immediate family. 
• Loaners available! (Please bring factory 69 gr or 75 gr or 77 gr brass cased .223 Rem or 5.56 mm MATCH ammo)

GUNS & GEAR NEEDED

• RIFLE – A ZEROED Accurized Rifle.  AR15 or AR10 preferred - equipped with BIPOD and a sling (Patriot Training recommends a 2-point Vickers sling, Magpul MS style sling, or similar). Accurized Bolt gun also acceptable. 
  • Accurized = Heavy Barrel (or fluted barrel) + Free floated + Match grade trigger. 
  • Capable of 1.5 MOA
  • Loaners available! 
• OPTIC – 10x magnification or greater strongly suggested. 
  • Preferably MIL or MOA reticle  
  • Preferably external knobs for adjustments
  • BDC Reticles are NOT acceptable. (This is your friendly warning.) 
• AMMUNITION – 250 rounds MATCH GRADE ammunition, minimum.  
• Pistol & 2 mags
• IN RESPONSE TO THE MANY INCIDENTS, THE SIG P320 IS NOT PERMITTED IN PATRIOT TRAINING CLASSES. Other Sig models are welcome 
• 50 rounds pistol ammunition
• Quality OWB holster of kydex or stiff leather that will stay open for reholstering. No Serpa.
• "Write in the rain" notepad & pen or pencil.
• 2+ magazines - or be able to carry 25 rounds per drill. AR15 shooters - bring at least two (2) 20-round magazines!
• The Rucksack (backpack) as listed at the bottom of the page.
• Shemagh or small hand towel.
• Bipod

• Green tip or armor piercing ammo - we will be shooting steel targets. 
• Steel cased ammo for AR-15s - you will hate yourself. 
• Hand loaded or remanufactured ammunition. Bring factory ammo only. 
• Mixed brands/types of ammo - bring a single brand and type
• Serpa Holsters. Nylon holsters. 
• Sig P320 pistols are forbidden.
